How I style: ASOS Hong Kong Heeled Sandals

As my birthday is coming up in just af few days, I thought I could use the occasion for some outfit inspiration. Of lately I have a massive obsession with ankle strap heels, so I thought to myself what item would I love to own that I don't have and obviously as you already guessed it was a pair of strappy heels. After looking around for some I came across this beauty hence why this post has been dedicated to the lovely heel. I must say I absolutely LOVE these outfits omg!! I honestly can't decide which one I prefer. With outfit 1, it is definitely something I would wear to celebrate my birthday, if I was to go out for drinks with the girls or do something rather casual. I think the stunning strappy heels add an element of formality and glam to the outfit. Don't you think these heels are to die for?!?! They are soooooo gorgeous and I love how you can play around with them, by wearing them casually or dressed up. The second outfit OMGGG I'm in loveeee lol. I would definitely wear this outfit for a birthday dinner (that's if I was to have one) the combination of the paisley skirt and bustier is still sexy without revealing too much.

Snowy Days

I recently noticed I haven't taken any OOTD posts with my fur coat - which I wear on a regular basis, so I thought today would be a perfect day to take some shots. Yes, despite the freezing cold weather I took some shots just for y'all. That's just how much I love you guys :D I think my fur coat is my most treasured item of clothing in my wardrobe, and that is because it is essential item for winter! Especially since it's been snowing pretty heavy and raining around here. Isit just me or do I look rather sad in the last photographs?! I honestly think I do. LOL let's just ignore those facial expressions, it was probably the cold getting to me.

Trends: Spring 2013

By just having a look at the new trends for Spring 2013, I must admit I am very excited and I cannot wait for this terrible weather to fade away!

One trend this Spring 2013 or should I say 3 trends - because they are all compliment each other would have to be Lace, Mesh and Sheer. What I love about these three trends is that firstly they all work well together and they can make any outfit sexy without having a lot going on. Celebrities have already jumped on the bandwagon for instance Jennifer Lopez stunned all of us at The Golden Globes with her  beautiful sheer Zuhair Murad white gown, I absolutely LOVED this look on her!

Monochrome madness is what I call the trend of going back to basics with the black and white ensemble. Seen at Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Jil Sander monochrome has never seemed so right. So simple and bold - the pair are inseparable. Black is somewhat becoming one of my favorite colours to wear, one can never go wrong with black. I think when it comes to monochrome less is more, so keep accessories quite minimal and let the outfit do the talking.

This spring get ready for stripes, plaid and checks! From Marc Jacobs to Paul Smith to Topshop Unique, stripes checks and plaid can all be seen in several catwalk collections this season. I love this trend. Even high street stores such as Zara have a few striped items which you can purchase now. I've always been a fan of checkered shirts! They are so easy to wear. I would definitely say head to toe stripes is one trend for the daring. As for those who aren't exactly the most daring, an easier way to achieve the stripes trend is to go for black and white stripes. Which will result in accomplishing two trends in one! (monochrome and stripes)
Florals have been on trend for many seasons and this season we see floral print come back! With designers such like Ashley Isham and Bora Aksu be sure to see girlie chic be embraced this season!

The Boyfriend Coat

One must have item this season has got to be an oversized boyfriend blazer or coat - which is a key element of  the Androgyny trend. I have got to say I LOVE boyfriend coats, there's just something about them that grabs my attention whenever I see them I just fall in love! It is a big shame that I still haven't managed to purchase one yet but no worries that purchase will be occurring very soon :D. This is just an outfit I created on Polyvore of how you could style a boyfriend coat this season.

Brighten Up The Day

I recently wore this to lunch with a friend, since the weather was gloomy as USUAL I thought why not brighten up my day by wearing my colourful blazer :D. To keep the look casual I opted for boyfriend jeans and a turtle neck - and of course I had to wear my favourite booties. Sorry for the not so great picture quality, I had to use my IPhone as I didn't have a camera with me, if you have instagram follow me for more frequent uploads of my day to day life! My instagram name is stephfvo. Hope you enjoy my look!

First Post Of The Year!

Hi everyone! It really has been some time now hasn't it :'(  I am terribly sorry for my absence and I promise that from now on I am going to be more consistent with my blog posts! As this is my first post of the year, I thought a great way to start the year would be to look back on one of my favourite fashionista's of 2012 - Kourtney Kardashian. To be honest I have always admired her style and to me she is the most stylish Kardashian (afterall it is a bonus that she doesn't need the help of Scott haha no offence Kimmy I do still have some love for you!) I really do love Kourtney's style despite the fact that she is a mum, she still has a youthful and fun sense of style and when she is all glammed up she looks absolutely gorgeous! What I love about fashionista Kourt (she's my friend in my head lol) is that when she does casual she just does it so effortlessly - oversized boyfriend shirt, jeans, knee high boots, celine tote; DONE! Like literally that's what she wears and yet she looks so good! Although her style is very safe and consists of very basic and simple silhouettes, I think it really works well for her and I cannot wait to see how her style evolves this year!
